1994 – 2000

Peter Kalivas founded The PGK Project in 1994 while working in Munich as a dancer of both The Iwanson Dance Company and The Bavarian State Opera Ballet.  During this time the company of 5 traveled throughout Europe performing at a variety of festivals and by invitation to theaters (France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany).  Additionally, Mr. Kalivas taught master classes, workshops throughout building the company’s presence.  Upon his return to the US in 1996 he soon thereafter became an original member of Sean Curran Company (NYC) originating roles as a dancer and touring once again and multiple seasons in NYC.  During this time he reformed, The PGK Project in NYC and so the process begins again: performing at Festivals, Theaters, teaching Master Classes and workshops building the company’s presence in NYC and across the US including: The Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Florence Gould Hall and The Citicorp Ailey Theater/NYC, Japan-American Theater (LA), The Mahaffey Theater (St. Petersburg, FL), among others and residencies at Texas Christian University, Shenandoah University, Rhode Island College, The Florida Dance Festival, New World School of the Arts, and on.
